Presented at Espacio Seminci, the space dedicated to the Asian country has the collaboration of Casa de la India
The city of Valladolid will host the 30th edition of the 'La Fila' Short Film Festival from April 6th to 11th, with India as this year's guest country, as part of the celebrations for the Dual Year of Spain and India.
The section dedicated to the Asian country will take place on Thursday, April 9th, with screenings of the short films *The Wrong Rock* (Michael Cawood), *Monkaa* (Nita Ravalji, Niyal Parmar, Pratik Solanki), *The Paper Boy* (Aniquet Mitra), and *Selfie* (Ramchandra Gaonkar). Following the screenings, a discussion will be held with the audience, in collaboration with the Casa de la India (House of India) of Valladolid. The closing event will feature a performance of Indian dance by Francisco Valiente, a Bharata Natyam classical dancer.
In addition to the international competition, the Festival includes the 26th Castile and León Short Film Showcase, several thematic cycles, and other activities, including the exhibition '30 Years of La Fila,' which will offer a journey through the history of the event over the past three decades.
As in previous editions, admission is free with an invitation until capacity is reached. Invitations can be requested in advance at the José Luis Mosquera Civic Center or from the organizers themselves, which include Seminci, Casa de la India, the Valladolid City Council, and the Film Studies Department of the University of Valladolid.
