The Indian author and thinker publishes his new book, "A World Without War: The History and Politics of Conflict Resolution."
Specializing in public policy, conflict resolution, and water diplomacy, Indian expert Sundeep Waslekar is the founder and president of the Strategic Foresight Group and a tireless advocate for international cooperation and sustainable peace. He has been recognized by institutions such as the United Nations and the British Parliament for his contributions to issues like water security and conflict prevention.
In his most recent book, A World Without War, Sundeep Waslekar argues that war is a political decision and therefore avoidable. To mark the publication of this book, Casa Asia, in collaboration with the Club of Madrid and Nola Publishing, is organizing a conversation with the author, which will take place at the Casa Asia Center in Madrid on September 11. The event, which is free to attend with prior registration, will be introduced by Rubén Campos, Director of Programs at the Club of Madrid.
Following the premise of his new book, Sundeep Waslekar offers an urgent reflection on the real risk of a catastrophic global war. His approach draws from a historical and philosophical analysis spanning over two thousand years to argue that war is a political decision—and therefore avoidable. This event is an opportunity to reflect on the future of global peace and the role our societies play in building it.
