Our patron CaixaBank has been recognised for the first time as Leading Confirming Bank 2025 in the prestigious awards of the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) Trade and Supply Chain Finance programme. This award recognises the institution as the confirming bank with the highest volume of transactions in the last year: from July 2024 to June 2025, CaixaBank formalised 236 transactions with the ADB, representing a 32% increase over the previous period.
In addition, the Spanish bank received the Food Security Special Award, shared with TBC Bank of Georgia, for its role in an operation to export poultry equipment from Italy to Georgia.
In 2024, CaixaBank channelled more than €3.3 billion in financing for foreign trade backed by multilateral institutions. In Asia alone, where approximately one-third of these transactions are carried out with the ADB, the bank achieved a volume of more than €1.6 billion, representing a 30% year-on-year increase.
The awards were presented during the annual TSCFP gala held in Singapore, which brought together nearly 200 representatives from international banks. CaixaBank has participated in this programme since 2004, reaffirming its commitment to the development of trade in emerging markets and to excellence in corporate financing.
Thanks to its participation in these programmes, CaixaBank has established itself as a benchmark in international financing solutions, strengthening its ties with local banks and facilitating its customers' global operations. It currently has business relationships with more than 1,600 financial institutions worldwide.
