The First Deputy Prime Minister sought to learn firsthand the Foundation and its objetives.
The First Deputy Prime Minister, Mrs. María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, held a meeting with the Board of Trustees of the Spain-India Council Foundation in April, 2009, shortly after the launch of the Foundation and coinciding with the State Visit of Her Excellency the President of India to Spain.
The First Deputy Prime Minister sought to learn firsthand the process by which the Foundation was constituted, discuss the Action Plan and to listen to the Trustees as they presented various projects and initiatives. She also expressed delight in the true interest that the Spain-India Council Foundation has awakened between a broad range of sectors of civil society interested in deepening relations with India.
